WordPress or Blogger?

Any thoughts on which free blogging platform is better? They both have fantastic feature – not to mention totally free, but I am wondering which is superior.

I have a more professional feel on WordPress, but enjoy the options Blogger provides.

Feel free to weigh in. I am interested in your answers!

Sometimes we have to let go.

With two boys this seemed impossible. As I let go a lot of control over the project, they did a great job!

It has been a while!

I am not sure what the last post I wrote was, but it has been a while! I have been focusing on my paying writing gigs and saving up for the holidays. However I came across this blog after a reader commented on a post about Shingles. I was notified in my email and after answering, I realized why I started the blog.

As a first time mother, (now four years later) I was having a hard time finding information on unique issues. I breastfed both boys(my youngest which is not willing to part with it yet), so things like illnesses and medications were always something I needed to research.

Although I am not a doctor or medical professional, I do believe in the phrase “It takes a village”. Sometimes we need help or a place to bounce ideas off each other, whatever your phase of life is. For me now, it is as a mother. Casual conversation and sharing what I did may help someone else.

Oh and I forgot how great it feels to write without any limitations, deadlines, or to earn my keep!

Coachella 2011

Due to my prior obligations(kids) I can’t make this music festival or any other this year.  While it looks great and just up our alley, maybe next year.

NJ Copkiller Caught in Camden

Many of us don not worry as our husbands head out the door in the morning to work if they will return safely.

Some women do.  Wives of law enforcement, fire fighters, dangerous jobs or military don’t even have the choice.  SO now here we are.  A Lakewood police officer was murdered execution style by a 19-year-old punk.  Blah Blah Blah he is innocent until proven guilty.  Whatever. 

Now there are rumors all over the internet that gangs will be targeting cops to serve revenge for the manhunt that ensued over the suspects capture.  Really?  Gang members are so stupid that they think this is scary.

I am pretty sure the law enforcement in our state is stronger than any dead beat punk who wears a scarf on his/her head to identify themselves.  Anyone who doesn’t even have the balls to shoot someone face to face is a COWARD. The worst kind.  

This patrolman was shot not 1, not 2 but 3 times in the back.  His gun was still in his holster.  Thankfully the suspect is in custody.

This whole situation makes me sick.  Justice is always served in the end, whether you pray to Jesus or Allah or no one at all.
